Austria-based Bet-at-home has announced it will permanently exit the U.K. market. The move came after the British Gambling Commission (BGC) suspended its operating license on July 7.
The BGC had announced a review of the company’s operations and after the review Bet-at-home could have resumed. However, the operator announced: “Unfortunately, we’ve decided to surrender our operating license granted by the UK Gambling Commission and to exit the British market.” Bet-at-home also suspended its GB Affiliate program.
The operator said it would be transferring any funds that players have not withdrawn from their accounts to the charity GambleAware.
