Bet365 Makes Gibraltar Home

Bet365 has moved its online gambling operations center to Gibraltar and left the UK, though it will keep an office open in Stoke-on-Trent. The move was made for licensing reasons, the company said.

Bet365, has left the UK for a move to Gibraltar. 

The online gaming operator established a presence in Gibraltar in 2007 and now made the move to use the use the British Overseas Territory as its center for licensing.

The company will keep an office open in Stoke-on-Trent.

“As part of the reorganization, Bet365 is augmenting its existing presence in Gibraltar, a jurisdiction that offers a mature and stable environment for international remote gambling operators. Bet365 will now operate its international betting businesses under licenses granted by the government of Gibraltar,” the company said in a press release.

“Bet365, which currently holds licenses in various territories including Great Britain, Spain, Italy, Denmark and Australia, will also continue with its long-standing policy of pursuing licenses in regulated markets and the Bet365 Group, as a whole, remains committed to playing its part in helping to protect the integrity of sport,” the release said.
