Betfred to Adds Playtech SSBTs

Playtech BGT Sports has signed a new deal to install additional self-service betting terminals across Betfred’s 1,700 sites. The company will supply state-of-the-art widescreen machines at Betfred’s highest performing shops. Also, Spain's Casino Barcelona has launched a new online gaming platform featuring exclusive Playtech casino products.

Betfred will upgrade some of its self-service betting terminals under a new agreement with Playtech BGT Sports.

Playtech—provider of omni-channel sports betting solutions—will supply a number of its state of the art widescreen terminals to Betfred’s best performing shops.

“Betfred continue to be a very important customer to us, and this latest deployment of our cutting-edge widescreen terminals is set to build on this partnership further,” said John Pettit, Managing Director for the UK, Ireland, Asia and Australia at Playtech BGT Sports in a press release. “Having already extended the initial contract earlier in the year, we’re delighted that their customers are continuing to enjoy both the incremental revenue opportunities and product development features that only the Playtech BGT Sports SSBTs can deliver.”

In addition to strengthening its SSBT operations, Betfred also agreed to a further deal with Playtech on its mobile BetTracker product. The phone app, which offers consumers the ability to transfer their sports bets to their mobile devices after placing them in shops, track their bets and cash out back to the terminal, was rolled out across the Betfred retail network earlier this year, the release said.

In another story involving Playtech, Spain’s Casino Barcelona has launched a new online gaming platform featuring exclusive Playtech casino products.

The new Playtech-powered online and mobile casino now offers players more than 100 casino, slot, table and card games. Among the games that have gone live are Playtech’s popular Age of Gods titles and slots including White King, Halloween Fortune and Jackpot Giant, as well as a selection of branded titles, the company said in a press release.

“We’re delighted to have Casino Barcelona join our growing Spanish network and contribute to the growing success of iPoker.es,” Playtech country manager for Spain Pedro Extremera said. “We look forward to working with the team there and adding to their growing online gaming offering.”
