Betsson MD to Chair Danish iGaming Group

Betsson Managing Director Peter Weinreich Johansen has been appointed chairman of the Danish Online Gambling Association.

Peter Weinreich Johansen, managing director of online betting operator Betsson, has been appointed as chairman of the Danish Online Gambling Association (DOGA).

Established in December 2011, DOGA serves as the trade organization for the Danish online gaming industry. Major brands such as Bet365, Betfair, Ladbrokes and Unibet are among the operators that have signed up as members.

Johansen has been appointed to oversee operations at the DOGA alongside his day-to-day role at Betsson, a position he has held since December 2013.

Prior to his time with Betsson, Johansen spent just over two years with Betfair, serving as country manager for Denmark before going on to become area manager and later head of international marketing.

Johansen has also held various roles with Søndagsavisen, Berlingske Media, Bacardi-Martini and Danske Spil.
