Betting on Sports America has hired gaming industry veteran Sue Schneider to lead the Advisory Board for SBC’s Betting on Sports America conference, which will be held next April in New York.
SBC currently puts on sports betting industry conferences in Europe and wants to bring the same format to the U.S. in light of the lifting of the federal ban on sports betting by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Schneider is widely recognized as an expert on gaming in the U.S. Market, and has testified before Congress and the National Gambling Impact Study Commission.
She issued this statement: “I’ve seen the impressive progress that SBC has been making with its sports betting events elsewhere in the world and so I’m delighted to be able to get involved with this new chapter now that PASPA has been repealed.”
She added, “SBC’s ‘Betting on Sports America’ event could prove to be a great catalyst for the development of the sports betting sector in the US at this exciting time.”
To launch this effort, Schneider will chair the first Betting on Americas track at the Betting on Sports Conference in London, next month. The session will discuss exactly what the Supreme Court decision means “in real terms.”
