The Bulgarian Football Union and Genius Sports have agreed on a deal that will more effectively capture, control and distribute the BFU’s live data.
The agreement will see the BFU publish real-time statistics from its domestic leagues and cup competitions across its website, a new mobile app, its social media assets and broadcasting feeds, according to iGamingBusiness.com.
Genius Sports will also deploy its Football LiveStats system, which captures advanced statistics on games, with the BFU system for managing competitions to be integrated with the supplier’s technology. This will allow the governing body to create official statistical records on individual players, teams and tournaments.
“We are glad to have found such a renowned partner as Genius Sports to put forward this project,” said BFU Marketing and Communications Director Hristo Zapryanov.
“Digitalization was one of the main priorities in our strategic plan and to use the vast experience of Genius Sports in data gathering and statistics will allow the Bulgarian Football Union to enrich the fan experience and to increase the value of the First and Second professional leagues brands.”
