Officials at Treasure Bay Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi recently announced the resort will introduce sports betting and also plans a three-phase expansion and renovation. General Manager Susan Varnes said the property has purchased four additional acres for the project.
A new sports betting is planned on the first floor, Varnes said. Regarding the expansion, Varnes said the first phase will include a new surface parking lot. The second phase will include a new parking garage where a surface parking lot currently is located.
She said, “The third phase is an expansion of the second-floor gaming space to include additional slots and tables as well as additional restaurants. We will extend the current second-floor casino to the parking garage,” adding 10,000 square feet to the east of the casino and hotel.
Varnes said the total investment for the project can’t be determined until the design is completed. She is hopeful all of the work will be completed by the end of 2019.
