A Forrest Gump look-alike will kick off the three-day party, May 1-3, honoring the grand opening of the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi. The festivities will celebrate the completion of the property’s 0 million renovation and expansion.
Tilman Fertitta, owner and chairman of parent company Landry’s, will cut the official ribbon at 12:00 p.m., Friday, May 2 at the new H2o swimming pool. “We’ve been looking to expand the Golden Nugget footprint into Biloxi for years and we’re excited about all the changes we’ve made to the property, including the all new casino floor, addition of Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, Morton’s the Steakhouse, H2o, our amazing new outdoor pool and Ultra Lounge, as well as to the area as a whole. The Golden Nugget transformation is going to rejuvenate Biloxi, in the same way that we have helped revive Downtown Las Vegas and the Marina District in Atlantic City, New Jersey,” Fertitta said.
