Blockchain, a Bitcoin wallet start-up said it has raised million in investment capital.
The main investors were venture capital firm Lakestar, Google’s investment arm GV, and billionaire Richard Branson. The investment comes as Bitcoin values have been rallying, which recently saw a record high.
Blockchain is software that stores the digital currency and carries out transactions with other users. Blockchain CEO Peter Smith, told CNBC that the investment capital will be used to increase research and development, on Thursday. The company is also looking to open new offices in different countries to expand, he said.
