“The workshop is aimed at equipping participants with the knowledge they need to deal with upcoming new technologies in the gaming industry,” said Penelope Ngcoya, director of operations for BMM South Africa. “TIER is targeted for middle managers, compliance officers and inspectors. Attendance was extremely high at this first event, with the regulatory participants traveling from Zimbabwe, Malawi, Mozambique, Angola, Botswana and the Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West, Eastern Cape, Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal provinces from the Republic of South Africa.”

BMM Testlabs facilitated the workshop through Technical Compliance Director Peter Nikiper, who was assisted by Tashie Moodley, sales and accounts manager for BMM’s South African office. Topics covered included: Creating Effective Regulation, Sports Betting & Daily Fantasy Sports, Field Audits, Internet/Remote Gaming, Signature Verifications and Cheats & Scams.

“The TIER workshop was a tremendous success,” said Ngcoya. “BMM extends our gratitude to the participating GRAF members for their support. Our heartfelt thanks go to all of our sponsors for their contributions towards the workshop and the networking reception that followed the two-day workshop. BMM will continue to support the growth of the African regulatory framework.”
