BMM Testlabs has promoted Marzia Turrini (l.) to executive vice president, Europe and South America, named Melissa Sweitzer senior vice president of strategic accounts, and named Alexandru Petrescu as leader of global cybersecurity business.

International gaming testing company and compliance consultancy BMM Testlabs announced three major appointments.

Melissa Sweitzer will be added to the BMM North America team as senior vice president, strategic accounts. For the past year, Sweitzer served as vice president of strategic accounts at PDS Gaming. Prior to PDS Gaming, she spent more than six years with Aruze Gaming America as senior vice president of North America, where she was responsible for all sales functions throughout North America, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Sweitzer began her sales career at Bally Technologies. Before her transition into sales, she spent more than eight years with PDS Gaming in various accounting and finance related positions.

“Melissa is an accomplished, capable and respected industry leader, and will assist in expanding and professionally managing BMM’s North American business,” said Travis Foley, chief operating officer and executive vice president, North America. “In her role, Melissa will be responsible for creating new value for key stakeholders, building on BMM’s reputation for integrity, innovation, quality and care. In a separate release, BMM announced that it has promoted Marzia Turrini to executive vice president, Europe and South America.

Turrini came to BMM with a strong business development background both in the gaming industry as well as the banking and telecommunications industries, and has learned the core BMM business from the ground up over the last seven years including sales, regulatory, delivery, operations and administration. Executives in charge of regional services and businesses including land-based and iGaming will report to her.

“Marzia has led a significant growth period in BMM’s European business,” said BMM Testlabs CEO Martin Storm, “most notably our fast growing Italian test business in a very competitive market, putting together a strong operational group. She also led growth in the South American market for BMM in online and has supported the work of regional EVP Gene Chayevsky.

She hires great people and supports them very well. I know she will continue to grow and develop in this role and achieve great success.”

Finally, the company announced that Alexandru Peterscu has been hired to lead BMM’s global cybersecurity initiative and promote BMM’s innovative cybersecurity solutions within the gaming industry and other select markets.

“As a world-renowned technical and policy expert in the area of cybersecurity, Alex is a great addition to our management team,” said Chayevsky. “His experience includes a multitude of prestigious positions with the Romanian government that include tenures as minister for communications and information society, minister for the business environment, trade and entrepreneurship, minister for the economy and executive and non-executive manager of strategic state-owned companies.
