Borgata Announces $13 Million Renovation

Atlantic City’s Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa has announced a $13 million renovation that covers everything from the casino floor to the back of the house. Borgata is the leading revenue producer in Atlantic City.

Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa is planning a million property-wide renovation, which will take place over the next several months.

Improvements include a complete redesign of the Borgata Buffet, renovations to Spa Toccare, the casino floor, front desk, Borgata suites, and back-of-the-house talent areas, casino officials announced in a press release.

We are dedicated to providing a world-class, full-service guest experience, unlike anything else in the region by investing $13 million towards our dining, spa, casino, room product and employees.”  

According to the release, from December 1-24 Borgata will completely renovate and redesign its buffet including installation of $2 million in porcelain stone flooring as well as resurfaced sky-like ceilings.

The casino’s Spa Toccare will receive upgrades to both its men’s and women’s lounges as well as a complete revamp of its workout facility, the Pump Room, adding new Life Fitness cardio equipment.

In 2012, the casinos completed a $50 million redesign to all 1,566 of its guestrooms and hotel corridors. This new project adds $6 million to restyle 39 Opus suites in addition to two 5,000 square-foot Residence suites.

Another $4 million is slated for upgrades to the casino’s lobby and a refashioning of casino floor to reflect a more modern Italian feel, which includes new carpeting, wall treatments, ceiling drapery, and light fixtures, in addition to the refinishing of columns.

The casino will also renovate its back-of-the-house changing areas and restrooms.
