Boyd Launches Nevada Betting App

Boyd Gaming is delving into remote betting with a mobile sports and race app. Players have to be in Nevada to use B Connected Race & Sports, as the site is titled, but they will have access to races at tracks nationwide.

Boyd Gaming is joining with software developer Miomni Gaming to launch a mobile sports- and race-betting app in Nevada.

B Connected Race & Sports will be the first platform of its kind in the Nevada market to offer both sports and pari-mutuel wagering through a single application, the companies said.

The app allows players within the state’s borders to open a Boyd Gaming betting account, which they must do in person at a Boyd casino, and then bet on races running at more than a dozen of the biggest tracks in the country.

“This is a landmark moment for the industry and for Boyd Gaming,” said Bob Scucci, director of Race and Sports for Boyd in Nevada. “Our customers have embraced the convenience and excitement of wagering on sports events on their mobile devices.”

Miomni has been developing and testing the application for more than a year, according to reports. Future versions will include video, enabling customers to watch live races and replays from within the app.
