Brock Joins Sega Sammy Board

Australian-born business leader Melanie Brock has been selected to be external director of the board at Sega Sammy Holdings, a Japanese firm planning to bid on an integrated resort license in that country.

Australian businesswoman Melanie Brock has been named external director of the board at Sega Sammy Holdings, an appointment AGPNippon.com says indicates “the firm’s growing commitment to internationalization.” She will be the only woman on a board made up of 15 men, all Japanese.

Brock has three decades of experience working in Japan, having held a variety of positions in business and government. She served more than six years as the chairwoman of the Australia and New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Japan.

She has been an advisor to many companies, including Crown Resorts, and is CEO of Melanie Brock Advisory.
