The Russian branch of Bwin has opened a website to accept bets from Russia.
The company had initially expected to launch the site in September.
Bwin.ru is a joint project of GVC Holdings and two companies belonging to businessman Alexander Mamut, Digital Betting and Rambler&Co. Russian partners have promised to invest $11.2 million in the brand over the next three years.
The bookmaker received a Russian digital betting license in March 2016 and will become the first international bookmaker to open a site in Russia’s gambling market.
