Caesars Entertainment received a 1-year extension from the Indiana Gaming Commission to sell the Horseshoe Hammond Casino (l.). Commissioners agreed Covid-19 and possible gambling expansion in Illinois created "unique challenges." Horseshoe Hammond is one of three properties the IGC requires Caesars to sell as part of Eldorado Resorts' $17.3 billion acquisition of Caesars. The company sold Tropicana to Bally's and is negotiating the sale of Caesars Southern Indiana to the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.
