Christie: Sports bets OK in NJ

A promotional campaign from Harrah’s Resort, a Caesars Entertainment property in Atlantic City, may be the first to jointly promote both in-store and online gaming.

The Treasure Hunt promo allows gamblers to participate in a digital Treasure Hunt online with weekly challenges for a chance to win more than $40,000 in cash and prizes, reported the Gambling News.

Adrian Bailey, vice president of integrated marketing for Harrah’s, said this “innovative campaign bridges the digital and physical worlds and will create a consumer experience the industry has not yet seen.”

Asked about New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s potentially game-changing announcement that his administration will not take action against companies offering sports betting, a Caesars spokesperson said there are presently no plans to take sports bets at Harrah’s or its sister property on the Atlantic City Boardwalk, Caesars.
