Caesars Named To Civic 50 List

Points of Light recently named Caesars Entertainment to its Civic 50 list for the third consecutive year. Caesars was recognized for delivering 400,000 employee volunteer hours annually; Caesars Foundation’s $72 million in donations to nonprofits; customer-driven community service programs; management diversity; and environmental activism.

For the third consecutive year, Civic 50, a Points of Light initiative, recently named Caesars Entertainment to its list of companies that use their time, skills and other resources to improve quality of life in the communities where they do business.

Caesars was named for integrated, company-wide initiatives, including:

  • HERO—an employee engagement initiative that has delivered more than 400,000 volunteer hours annually

  • Caesars Foundation–has donated more than $72 million to local non-profits

  • Meetings for Good–allows customers to incorporate community service into events

  • Commitment to Diversity – enterprise-wide management teams include large percentages of women and minorities

  • CodeGreen—an environmental program focusing on significant reduction of waste, water and carbon emissions

The Civic 50 winners are public and private companies with U.S. operations and revenues of $1 billion or more. Selection criteria include how the company applies resources into community engagement programs; how the programs are integrated into all aspects of the company; how the company supports the programs through policies and incentives; and how the program’s impact is measured.
