Caesars Sells Atlantic City Country Club

Caesars Entertainment has sold the 117-year-old Atlantic City Country Club in Northfield New Jersey to a southern New Jersey golf course operator. The deal still reserves special privileges at the course for Caesars Total Rewards members.

Caesars Entertainment is getting out of the golf course business in New Jersey by selling the Atlantic City Country Club to a family-owned southern New Jersey golf-course operator.

The casino company, however, will continue offer special deals to its Atlantic City customers at the course. Under the deal the buyer—the Ottinger Family Group—will work in partnership with Caesars,

The price for the 117-year-old Northfield golf course was not disclosed.

The Ottinger Family Group also owns and operates the Ballamor Golf Club in Egg Harbor Township and Scotland Run Golf Club in Williamstown, Gloucester County.

Caesars has owned the golf course since 1997. Despite the sale, Caesars officials said members of its Total Reward program will still have access to preferred tee times and discounted pricing at the course as well as the two other Ottinger family courses.

Atlantic City Country Club, Ballamor and Scotland Run, will now be known as the “official golf courses” for Caesars Entertainment customers in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey markets, the casino said in a press release.’

 “We are pleased to make this announcement and look forward to carrying on the long traditions of what makes this property one of the most revered golf courses in the country,” Ottinger family spokeswoman Liz Norton-Scanga said. “Atlantic City Country Club is truly a gem.”
