Caesars Total Rewards Targets Atlantic City Locals

Caesars Entertainment is offering special deals to southern New Jersey residents in the hopes of attracting players from the now closed Atlantic Club Casino (l.) in Atlantic City.

The fight for the former customers of the closed Atlantic Club Casino in Atlantic City continues as Caesars Entertainment is rolling out a “Local Perks” platform for its Total Rewards loyalty program.

Caesars Entertainment—which owns Caesars Atlantic City, Bally’s Atlantic City, Showboat Casino Hotel and Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City—is partnering with local businesses in the Atlantic City area to offer discounts for locals at the various businesses.

The “locals” offer is being made to residents of Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean and Salem counties.

“Local Perks is the ideal way to provide our guests with new benefits while also supporting local shops and businesses in the South Jersey community,” Caesars Regional Vice President of Marketing Jeffrey Boorjian said in a press release.

Through Local Perks, Total Rewards credits can be transferred onto gift cards for participating businesses.

The Atlantic Club shut down in January after it was purchased in a bankruptcy sale with a joint bid by Caesars and Tropicana Entertainment. Caesars owns the building, but has no plans to operate it as a casino.

The Atlantic Club had been gaining traction in the Atlantic City market before its closing with a marketing push towards locals.
