Caesars Entertainment UK said it will not reopen its Rendezvous casino in the English seaside resort of Southend once coronavirus restrictions are lifted.
“We have reluctantly taken this decision following difficult trading conditions in recent years and the impact that the Covid-19 pandemic will have on future business levels,” the company said.
The seafront casino, situated in the historic Kursaal amusement complex, is one of three in Southend, which is located on the Thames Estuary in Essex about 40 miles east of London. Genting and Grosvenor also operate there.
