California Band Has New Vice Chairman

Reid D. Milanovich has been elected to fill the two-year term of vice chairman by the Aqua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. The vacancy was created by the death of Larry N. Olinger, and a special election was held in October.

California Band Has New Vice Chairman

Reid D. Milanovich, a council member of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians of Southern California, has been elected to fill the two-year term of Vice Chairman Larry N. Olinger, who died in July. A special election was held October 15.

His father, Richard M. Milanovich, was tribal chairman for 28 years until his death in 2012.

Milanovich has served as tribal council proxy, as a member of the tribe’s scholarship committee and on the board of directors for the Agua Caliente Cultural Museum. He was recognized as a Native American 40 Under 40 by the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development.
