Reid D. Milanovich, a council member of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians of Southern California, has been elected to fill the two-year term of Vice Chairman Larry N. Olinger, who died in July. A special election was held October 15.
His father, Richard M. Milanovich, was tribal chairman for 28 years until his death in 2012.
Milanovich has served as tribal council proxy, as a member of the tribe’s scholarship committee and on the board of directors for the Agua Caliente Cultural Museum. He was recognized as a Native American 40 Under 40 by the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development.
