The Cahuilla Band of Mission Indians near Anza, California, have begun construction on an upgrade of the existing casino and hotel. The work should be done later this year, according to the tribe.
The new facility will replace the 22-year old Cahuilla Casino, which will stay open during construction. It will have expanded parking, a larger gaming floor with more slots and the addition of tables, plus a dedicated high limit area and larger restaurant with a private dining area and open bar.
The 57-room hotel will now have suites and a fitness center and will link to the casino via a scenic walkway.
