California’s Cardroom Mortarium Ends

For nearly 30 years there has been a moratorium in California on new card clubs. That number was capped at 72. Then last year the legislature deadlocked on renewing the law. On January 1, 2023 the Bureau of Gambling Control began accepting applications for new clubs.
