California’s First Hard Rock Casino to Open in October

More fun than frightening: the first Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in California will open just before Halloween in Wheatland.

The October 30 opening of the $440 million Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain will include the now traditional smashing of a guitar followed by a rock concert November 2 featuring the rock band Def Leopard.

The casino resort is a joint venture of the Enterprise Rancheria Indian tribe and the Seminole Tribe of Florida, owners of Hard Rock International. The casino will become the 12th of the brand. The Seminole Tribe operates two of those, including Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe which opened four years ago.
