Casino Arizona Gains Stadium Naming Rights

Casino Arizona Field is the new name of the stadium where the Phoenix Rising soccer team plays. Team Governor Berke Bakay recently announced the naming rights deal. The stadium is located on the reservation of the Salt-River Pima Maricopa Indian Community, which also owns Casino Arizona. The terms of the arrangement were not disclosed. Bakay said, “It’s the similar values that we share and the strength of a multi-year partnership and being able to associate ourselves with a great brand that was ultimately the decision maker.”

Bakay said since the team was formed two years ago, sponsorship has grown from two to more than 50 for the current season. He added the 6,200-seat stadium will be expanded to accommodate 10,000 people and a new access road will be built.

Casino spokesman Ramon Martinez said, “We know the fans that are seeking out the kind of fun that you experience here with Phoenix Rising football will also enjoy the kind of fun we have to offer at Casino Arizona.”

A member of the United Soccer League, a second-tier professional league, Phoenix Rising was the runner-up in the 2018 championship.
