A Florida man wanted for casino fraud in Puerto Rico has been arrested and charged in Florida for the June 7 robbery of an armored truck courier in Pembroke Pines.
According to the FBI, and reported by NBC Miami, Emanduel Victoria, 28, was arrested and charged for the robbery, which happened at the Bank of America where the courier was making a stop. Victoria allegedly approached the security guard and demanded the cash. The guard gave the robber his bag and then pulled out his handgun and fired six shots with no apparent effect at the suspect, who escaped on foot.
Broward County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Victoria in a couple of hours in Dania Beach. He will be arraigned in federal court in Fort Lauderdale.
Victoria is wanted in Puerto Rico. He is accused of manipulating an electronic roulette wheel and pocketing more than $43,000. And of collecting $19,000 in a similar scheme.
