Casino Malta Gets Fourth License

Late last month, the Malta Gaming Authority licensed its fourth casino in Malta, to be located on the lower level of the InterContinental Hotel. The $12 million project will be operated by Olympic Entertainment Group.

Olympic Entertainment Group will operate the property, which is owned by Eden Leisure Gaming. According to the Malta Independent, the new $12 million casino on the first floor of the InterContinental Hotel is the largest on the island.

“We are delighted to finally open our doors after several years in the process,” said owners Ian and Kevin De Cesare in a statement. “We are lucky to have great operator-partners in our businesses…. Together we will ensure that the industry is grown rather than cannibalized from other operators. The synergies of significant hotel accommodation, an existing entertainment business and great partners is what we hope is a tremendous winning formula.”
