Casino Rama, a large regional tourism draw in Ontario, Canada, has appointed local resident John Drake as President & CEO. Drake started with Casino Rama in 1996 in the finance department. He then moved to Casino Niagara and continued in finance until he became Director of Slot Operations in 2002.
His next move was to Fallsview Casino Resort as Director of Project Development until 2005, when he took over as Director of Market Development. 2007 saw Drake come back to Casino Niagara as Senior Director of Operations before returning home to Casino Rama in 2008. His return saw him take over the position of Vice President of Gaming Operations, and eventually Vice President of Marketing in 2013.
Drake said, “I’m thrilled and privileged to be taking over the leadership role at Casino Rama. The employees and management staff are a significant reason for the success of the property.” The casino is operated by Penn National Gaming Inc.
