The newly renovated Orenes Gran Casino Extremadura has reopened in Badajoz Province, Spain, near the Portuguese border. Operator Grupo Orenes believes the re-launch is part of a new direction by the company, which wants to eventually re-launch all its casinos.
The upgraded casino offers a more modern, dynamic and avant-garde gaming experience, Orenes stated. The entire slot offering has been renewed along with all of the live gaming tables and new spaces have been created, such as a sport bar, in which Versus, the new company’s sports betting brand has made its debut.
“With this remodeling, we wanted Orenes Gran Casino Extremadura to continue being the preferred leisure benchmark for this city and region,” said Eliseo Orenes, corporate director of the company’s Leisure Centers, said. “With this investment amounting to €4.5 million, we have improved all the casino’s services, including hospitality, catering or cultural and leisure activities. The aim has been to become more prominent making this space a place unique for both Extremadura and our Portuguese customers.”
Portuguese players make up 75 percent of customers. Grupo Orenes is carrying out a comprehensive remodeling of all its leisure centers, such as casinos and bingo halls, with the aim of re-launching and revolutionizing the sector by incorporating new technology.
Orenes said Gran Casino Extremadura is a “door to the future of casinos, not only for the company, but for the entire sector.
“Badajoz is a city with great tourist potential that has great restaurants and a unique cultural wealth,’ she added. “We will continue to invest in new projects more focused on hospitality and catering. The goal is to continue attracting tourists and energizing this region, as we have with this leisure complex, which year after year remains the main tourist attraction of this wonderful region.”
