Casinos Austria Reaches 50-Year Mark

The Casinos Austria Group recently turned 50. Founded on November 29, 1967, its first seven casinos opened January 1, 1968. Today the company owns and operates 12 casinos with a total of 230 gaming tables (its most recent casino in Batumi, Georgia at left) and 2,100 slots. In its half-century, 94 million people have visited and the company has paid $18.3 billion in taxes and duties and $1.9 billion in investments.

Founded on November 29, 1967, the Casinos Austria Group recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. Its first seven casinos opened on January 1, 1968. Director General Alexander Labak said the half-century has featured innovations, achievements, openings and commitment to society through social projects and initiatives.

Today the Casinos Austria Group comprises 12 casinos with a total of 230 gaming tables and 2,100 slot machines. Three million guests visit daily, 364 days a year, with a total 94 million in the company’s 50-year history. The company has paid a total of $18.3 billion in taxes and duties and $1.9 billion in investments.
