Causey is Caesars’ New Chief Accountant

Caesars Entertainment Corp. has appointed Keith Causey as the company’s new chief accounting officer. Causey steps into the role formerly occupied by Diane Wilfong, who has left the company “to pursue another opportunity,” Caesars said in a press release.

??In an October 8 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Caesars reported that a fund representing some Caesars bondholders says one of the company’s subsidiaries is in default on a portion of its borrowing after it pledged collateral to senior creditors, according to GGR Asia.??

Caesars is a joint-venture investor in a casino resort project to be located in Incheon, South Korea. It hopes to open the first phase of the property by 2018.

??“There are no disagreements between Wilfong and Caesars Entertainment regarding the company’s financial reporting, operations, policies or practices,” the release continued.??

Causey will oversee all corporate accounting and internal audit functions for the parent company. He joins Caesars from U.S. carmaker General Motors Corp., where he served as executive director, global business services, finance.
