Clarion Gaming event ambassador Roy Student says the conference will focus on the most frequently asked question regarding esports: “How do we make money?”

“CEC Vegas will arm senior executives with the information and intelligence they need to understand the eSports phenomenon and integrate it as a positive amenity and attraction,” Student told CDC Gaming Reports.

The two-day CEC conference is subtitled ‘For the New Era of Gaming,’ and will bring together online and land-based gaming operators with members of the eSports industry in order to attempt to map out a progressive and mutually profitable future, Student said.

“Esports is an exciting, emergent industry,” Student said. “It is an increasingly important vertical within the gaming space. CEC Vegas will enable delegates to both hear from and network with colleagues who are already in the space… benefit from their insight and identify the stumbling blocks that should be avoided. An event like this enables the serious players to sidestep the pitfalls and accelerate their profits,” he said.

The planned conference program and exhibition will focus on how to generate revenue, drive traffic, and improve experiences, all through the use of eSports events and wagering. For the eSports industry, the conference is a chance to find new sponsorship opportunities and the benefits of collaborating with gaming operators.

Take Two Interactive Director J Moses will be a keynote speaker at the event, the first time a major computer game publisher will be discussing the future of eSports betting, according to organizers. Take Two Interactive holds two major gaming labels, Rockstar and 2K, publishers of the Grand Theft Auto series and NBA 2K, respectively.
