In another casualty of the coronavirus, Century Entertainment International Holdings Ltd. has concluded a licensing agreement with Crown Resorts to run a VIP room at the Genting Crown Casino in Poipet, Cambodia. Ng Man Sun’s company made the deal in 2017, and has declined to extend it.
According to Macau Business, the company’s decision followed an order by Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen that closed all casinos on April 1.
The license agreement was to expire on November 30, but Century (formerly Amax) opted to terminate the license agreement earlier without compensation to minimize its cash outlay during the pandemic period.
