Colorado-based Century Casinos disclosed on January 15 that its eight gaming properties in Poland will remain closed at least through January to comply with Covid-19 quarantines.

Century Casinos will keep its gaming properties in Poland closed at least through January 31 in compliance with Covid-19 quarantines mandated by the Polish government. The eight casinos closed in December, and Century said viral outbreak “will adversely impact the company at least through the first half of 2021.”

The firm, based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, has a 66.6 percent ownership stake in Casinos Poland Ltd. and also operates casinos and racetrack casinos in West Virginia, Missouri and Canada as well as its home state.

In a January 15 statement, the company said its Poland operations contributed 4 percent of Century’s overall cash flow for the quarter that ended September 30.
