CFO Craig Billings Named Wynn Resorts President

Wynn Resorts has appointed Chief Financial Officer Craig Billings to the position of president of the Las Vegas-based gaming giant.

Billings, who has been CFO since March 2017 and will remain in that role, takes over a position that had been vacant since Matt Maddox was promoted to CEO last year in the wake of the Steven Wynn sexual harassment scandal.

His annual salary will increase from $875,000 to $1.2 million, the company said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission announcing the appointment.

The 46-year-old had been an outside advisor to the industry and an investor for two years prior to joining Wynn. He served also during this period as a director and non-executive chairman of NYX Gaming Group, which was later acquired by Scientific Games.

Previously, he had held senior management positions with Aristocrat Leisure and had worked in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs, covering the gaming industry from New York and London.
