Chan to Chair Frontier Capital Group

Poker pro Johnny Chan has been appointed director and chairman of Frontier Capital Group, to head the proposed acquisition of the Mongolian National Lottery.

Ten-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Johnny Chan has been appointed director and chairman of Frontier Capital Group Ltd. According to a press release from Frontier Capital, Chan will spearhead the proposed acquisition of the Mongolian National Lottery, announced on April 23.

According to the company, Frontier Capital has the right to establish the first casino in Mongolia. Chan has operational experience as manager of California’s Hustler Casino from 2003 to 2006, in addition to his high profile as a poker celebrity.

“I’m looking forward to investigating the gaming market in Mongolia, and bringing this investment to shareholders as it evolves,” said Chan.

Chan was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 2002, and he won the last of his 10 WSOP bracelets in 2005.
