Change of Command at Gold Strike Mississippi

Gold Strike Casino Resort, part of the MGM Resorts International portfolio, announced today that Brandon Dardeau has been appointed as the company’s new president and chief operating officer.

Dardeau had been vice president of marketing at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi since 2014, and began his career at MGM Grand in Las Vegas in 2000. He was instrumental in launching M life Rewards in 2010. Dardeau holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Louisiana, Monroe.

His predecessor, David Tsai, is relocating to Michigan to serve as the new president and COO of MGM Grand Detroit.

“This is a well-deserved promotion for Brandon and an exciting time for Gold Strike,” said Jorge Perez, regional portfolio president, MGM Resorts International. “Dardeau’s nearly 20 years of experience with MGM and strong Mississippi ties make him a great addition to the Tunica team. He has done tremendous work at Beau Rivage, leading their various marketing programs and, especially, his role launching M life Rewards, and I believe his business acumen, loyalty and passion will make this a successful transition.

“I also want to thank David for all his good work at Gold Strike. I know he will continue to thrive in Detroit.”

“I’m thrilled to be returning to Gold Strike and rejoining this remarkable team,” said Dardeau. “From the gaming to the entertainment to the restaurants, I look forward to continuing to offer our guests a best-in-class experience destination.”

Dardeau will assume the role upon regulatory approval.
