Chilean Casino Enjoy Chairman, Directors Resign

The Chile-based gaming operator Enjoy has confirmed that CEO Javier Martinez Seguí and four members of the board of directors have resigned, effective April 28.

The resignation of the chairman, who has been with the company for four decades, is connected with claims of a conflict of interest between Chile’s President Sebastián Piñera and Enjoy. The claims were the result of an investigative report broadcast on national television.

These claims are being investigated by the comptroller of the Republic of Chile. Also being investigated are the asset managers for the president, who are supposed to be managing his fortune through a blind trust.
