Chinook Winds Casino Resort’s new general manager is Harold Baugus, as announced by the Siletz Tribal Council.
An industry veteran, Baugus has 30-plus years of gaming experience, with nearly 20 of those coming from tribal gaming specifically. He most recently served as CEO of Isleta Resort and Casino.
Baugus first started his gaming career as a night-shift security officer, before eventually working his way up to the role of CEO at Gila River Gaming Enterprises. From there, he served stints as general manager of Sherwood Valley Rancheria and Indian Head Casino.
In a statement, Baugus said that he was “ excited to be back in Oregon continuing my career at a casino resort with a high commitment to its team members and community. My goal is to enhance the executive management’s team focus on excellence in service to our guests and community.”
