David Chow, CEO of Macau Legend Development Ltd., will serve as an alternate director to his mother, Madam Lam Fong Ngo, an executive director and vice chairman in the company, the company has announced.
Chow will hold the position until Madam Lam “ceases to be a director or if the appointment is revoked by her,” according to the Macau News Agency. Madam Lam has been the vice chairman of Macau Legend since May 2012 and its executive director since December 2006.
According to GGRAsia, the filing did not state why 68-year-old Chow, founder of Macau Fisherman’s Wharf, has assumed the alternate directorship role for Lam, who is in her early 90s.
The family business also employs Chow’s son, Donald Chow, a Macau Legend executive director, the firm’s corporate development director and a director of the group’s Babylon Casino. Chow’s wife, Melinda Chan is president of Macau Fisherman’s Wharf International Investment Ltd. David Chow is also the father-in-law of Adriano Pinto-Marques, manager of the Harbourview and Rocks hotels, both at Fisherman’s Wharf.
