Suffolk, one of the largest real estate and construction enterprises in the country, has announced the addition of Chris Creasey as vice president of gaming.
In this role, Creasey will leverage his deep knowledge of the gaming industry, maintain and cultivate relationships with tribal leaders and independent developers, and establish Suffolk as the national builder of choice for world-class resort and gaming properties.
“The Gaming and Resort sector continues to show signs of significant growth in the years ahead, and Suffolk’s commitment to sector diversification and the Gaming sector has positioned us as a major player in this category,” said Pete Tuffo, president of Suffolk’s National Gaming Center of Excellence. “The addition of Chris to our team will help us expand our footprint in this space and allow us to introduce our unique construction management approach to new gaming clients throughout the country.”
Creasey comes to Suffolk after more than 23 years at Tutor Perini, where he worked on iconic hospitality and gaming projects with Native American and commercial clients throughout the country, including Pechanga Resort and Casino and Chumash Casino Resort in California; CityCenter and The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas; Mohegan Sun Casinos and Resorts; and Seminole Hard Rock Hotels and Casinos.
“I am excited to join the Suffolk team because of this organization’s strong national reputation for innovation, leadership and client service, particularly in the gaming sector. Suffolk’s impressive projects and repeat clients in this growing sector speak for themselves,” said Creasey. “I am looking forward to leveraging Suffolk’s innovative technologies, proven processes, unlimited resources and incredible project teams to deliver the highest quality projects for clients and continue to expand our gaming footprint nationally.”
With more than $5 billion and 10 million square feet in casino and hotel projects completed to date, Suffolk’s Gaming Center of Excellence has managed construction for some of the most iconic hotel and casino properties across the country, including the groundbreaking 450-foot guitar-shaped Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood.
The high-rise project includes more than 2 million square feet across 36 floors of hotel rooms and spaces including luxurious villas, a casino area and a 6,500-seat entertainment venue. Suffolk also managed the preconstruction and construction services for the 3.2 million square foot Encore Boston Harbor, America’s first five-star urban gaming resort, the Agua Caliente Casino Resort and Spa in Rancho Mirage, California, and the Chicken Ranch Casino Resort in Jamestown, California.
