Circa Las Vegas, which opened last October, has won a coveted AAA Four-Diamond award, the first Downtown resort to do so. According to Vegas News, AAA sent unannounced inspectors to spend several nights at the 777-room resort, conceived and developed by Derek Stevens.
“It is an honor to receive this distinction within Circa’s first year of operation,” said Stevens. “At Circa, we aim to provide guests with an elevated level of customer service and entertainment. This rating is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team and partners, and we look forward to continuing to show our guests the time of their lives.”
Stevens also owns the D Las Vegas, the Golden Gate Hotel & Casino and the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center. Circa Las Vegas was the first ground-up casino resort to open Downtown in 40 years.
According to AAA, only 6.5 percent of hotels inspected are granted Four Diamonds. To qualify, AAA said the hotel “must be upscale in all areas.”
“For those staying in AAA Four Diamond hotels, guests can expect a high level of hospitality, service, design, and amenities,” AAA said in a statement. “The AAA inspection looks for items such as beautifully-designed guest rooms, upscale restaurants, full-service pools, state-of-the-art technology, impressive architectural features and a high standard of cleanliness.”
A number of Strip resorts have won the same distinction, including Mandalay Bay, the Mirage, MGM Grand, the Cosmopolitan, the Venetian and Palazzo, Wynn and Encore, Palms, M Resort and Red Rock.
Six Vegas hotels have won an exclusive Five-Diamond rating, including Aria, the Aria Sky Suites, the Bellagio, the Waldorf Astoria, the Four Seasons and the Wynn Tower Suites.
