Codere Apuestas Launches Colombian Sports Betting

Grupo Codere is the fifth sports-betting operator to receive a gambling license from Colijeugos, Colombia's gambling regulator, and the second to enter Colombia's new regulated gambling market, after Gaming1 and Zamba.co debuted in November. Codere already operates the land-based Crown and Royal Ferrias casinos in Bogota.

Spanish gambling operator Grupo Codere recently launched the sports betting site Codere.com.co in Colombia, South America. Codere was the fifth operator to be granted a gambling license by Colijeugos, Colombia’s gambling regulator, and the second to enter Colombia’s new, regulated gambling market, following Gaming1’s launch of Zamba.co in November.

Codere already operates the land-based Crown and Royal Ferrias casinos in Bogota.

Under the new 5-year license, Codere Apuestas will operate sports and casino games over approved digital and mobile verticals. Last year, Codere Apuesta signed a signed a 3-year international betting partnership with Spanish football giants Real Madrid FC.
