Colorado’s Ute Mountain Ute Casino opened its sports betting venue August 24. It will have retail in person wagering and betting using a mobile app: UteBet.
It will all go live about two weeks after the first day of the NFL season, September 6.
The tribe has partnered with International Game Technology to offer that company’s Playsports platform. It will have three betting stations and four kiosks and will feature 16, 55-inch LED screens and one 98-inch LED screen showing events and odds.
The Ute tribe celebrated with a ribbon cutting and tribal blessing. Then a member of the tribe placed the first bet.
The tribe was able to offer sports betting after voters last November passed a proposition legalizing sports betting in the Centennial state.
