Colston Named VP of Gaming Ops at Live! Pittsburgh

Cordish Companies has named gaming veteran Brent Colston as vice president of gaming operations for Live! Casino Pittsburgh, the Category 4 satellite casino attached to Cordish’s Stadium Casino subsidiary. The casino is slated to open before Thanksgiving in Hempfield Township, in a former Bon-Ton anchor store of the Westmoreland Mall, around 37 miles from downtown Pittsburgh.

Colston is a 27-year industry veteran who most recently ran gaming operations at the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek in Florida. Before that, he had held director of casino operations at casinos in Mississippi, Louisiana and Iowa, in a career begun in 1993.

“It has been an incredible experience working with the talented Live! Casino team and introducing my family to this community,” Colston told the TribLive news site. “We are working diligently to bring the most exciting table games, slots and sportsbook experience to our guests.”

In his new position, Colston will manage and direct table games, slots tech, sportsbook operations and staff. He will develop standard operating procedures and ensure games are in compliance with regulations.

Colston will report to General Manager Sean Sullivan. Cordish officials are racing to fill more than 500 positions at Live! Casino Pittsburgh through its website, workatlive.com, and a recruitment center in a former furnishings store at the mall. A dealer school has been established at Westmoreland County Community College.
