Cordova Out at Wynn Las Vegas

Alex Cordova has left his post as executive vice president of Wynn Nightlife. His resignation was made public last week, when Wynn Las Vegas President Marilyn Spiegel issued a memo saying he had resigned.

No reason was given for Cordova’s exit, though rumor was rife that he was about to leave. Wynn Las Vegas spokesman Michael Weaver was mum about his departure, saying the company does not comment on former employees.

But Billboard magazine linked his resignation to the cancellation of Marshmello’s $60 million residency at the KAOS nightclub.

On Instagram, Gray wrote that he had been at the hotel for more than two years, working to “completely transform the Palms into a must-see destination with an incredible mix of partners and classic Vegas hospitality.”

“With the opening of Tim Ho Wan, the transformation of the Palms is now complete,” he added, noting “it is time for me to move on to my next challenge.”

Before arriving at Wynn Nightlife, Cordova was a top executive at Hakkasan Group.
