Cortez Masto, Chopra Present Virtual G2E 2020 Keynotes

The Global Gaming Expo 2020, presented by the American Gaming Association, will be virtual this year due to Covid-19 concerns. The event will kick off on October 14, followed by keynote addresses from U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (l.) of Nevada and MGM Resorts International Senior Vice President Jyoti Chopra. Panel discussions, networking and business opportunities, exhibits, meetings and more will be offered.

Cortez Masto, Chopra Present Virtual G2E 2020 Keynotes

U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto of Nevada and MGM Resorts International Senior Vice President and Chief People, Inclusion and Sustainability Office, Jyoti Chopra will be the keynote speakers at the virtual Global Gaming Expo 2020, presented by the American Gaming Association.

Originally scheduled for October 5 through October 8 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, the event–the casino industry’s largest conference and tradeshow—was cancelled by the AGA due to Covid-19 restrictions. Instead, virtual G2E will take place October 27 and 28, kicking off on October 14.

AGA President and Chief Executive Officer Bill Miller will interview Cortez Masto at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 27 about casino industry updates from Washington, D.C. as well as the economic challenges of Covid-19. At 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 28, Chopra will discuss the opportunities and challenges of the “Future of Work” and workforce diversity. At 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Justin Carter, general manager at Hollywood Casino, Toledo, Ohio; Kathy George, chief executive officer at Firekeepers Casino, Battle Creek, Michigan; and Laura Stensgar, chief executive officer at Coeur d’Alene resort in Idaho, will present a panel discussion on the impact of the pandemic on employees, communities and business.

“For two decades now, G2E has delivered educational content and this year’s conference is bookended with two dynamic leaders who are vital voices for the gaming industry,” Miller said.

Additionally, G2E will offer networking and business opportunities, and feature content on relevant industry topics, including Covid-19 recovery, modernization of payments, tribal gaming and sports betting. Exhibitors and buyers will be able to conduct business through virtual showrooms, product demos, AI-driven matchmaking and one-on-one meetings.
