Counselor Billed For Time At Casino

Investigators used mental health counselor Annie G. King's player card at the Hard Rock Tulsa to determine she was gambling there while charging $14,000 for fake appointments at Oklahoma Counseling Services. Charged with three counts of Medicaid fraud in Oklahoma County District Court, King faces up to seven years in prison and $44,800 in fines.

Annie G. King, a licensed professional mental health counselor with Oklahoma Counseling Services, surrendered to authorities after being charged with three counts of Medicaid fraud in Oklahoma County District Court. King billed for fake appointments, totaling more than ,000 from January 2009 to August 2011, while she actually was gambling at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tulsa in Catoosa. If convicted, King faces up to seven years in prison and/or fines of ,800 or more.

Investigators with the state Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit said the dates of several of King’s fraudulent bills for services provided matched dates and times of her casino player card history.
