Crane Payment Innovations, a Crane Co. company, confirmed a new business platform has been added to Crane’s Payment and Merchandising Technologies portfolio: Crane Connectivity Solutions (CCS).
CCS is a joint venture between CPI and Crane Merchandising Systems. By synthesizing the cashless heritages of its sister businesses, CCS is able to leverage Crane’s full suite of software, wireless hardware and applications into a single entity focused on accelerating growth in the rapidly evolving connectivity landscape.
“CCS was created with the philosophy that technology should simplify business,” said Eric Kaled, senior vice president and general manager of Crane Connectivity Solutions. “Our portfolio of hardware, software and connectivity services will give operators unprecedented visibility to their business processes, enabling them to make quick, informed decisions while improving their efficiency and profitability.”
“This is a natural progression for us in Gaming, where enhancing our Easitrax solution has helped operators unlock smarter and more profitable process efficiencies over the years,” said Eric Fisher, CPI president of gaming.
Historically, Easitrax has been used to link the slot floor and the soft count room in casinos around the world, and new functionality has recently opened the door for massive rollouts in VLT operations throughout Europe. It works by gathering performance data from multiple SC note acceptors and funneling that information into an intuitive database that can be leveraged by operators to streamline the drop process, facilitate asset evaluations, improve maintenance programs and more.
“Now, by working together with CCS,” Fisher continued, “we are in a great position to find new ways to bring more value to our customers—whether that’s evolving Easitrax toward real-time data delivery or expanding the applicability of our cashless portfolio to the gaming industry.”
